Help Protect Access To
Our Public Lands
Land closures are happening every month, and there are more slated for
the future. We can stem the tide and encourage sane stewardship of our
open land. But we can only do this if we join
together for this action.
The
goal of the Action Program is to forge this partnership now, before it's
too late. The benefits to all of us are increase representation in local
and federal legislatures, improved public awareness, and ultimately
continued access to public land.
The
threat to losing access to our public land is very real. How much public land must close before
customers learn there is no place left to go? How long will it take at
the present rate of closures, before we reach that point? That is how
long our industry has to live.
We
can do something about it right now, and we are. It's called the Action Program, a
movement on a national scale. The range of the Action Program is
unprecedented: manufacturers, retailers, customers, activists,
lobbyists, legislators, and more, are all drawing together to defend the
simple right to visit a piece of land whenever they wish.
By
joining the Action Program, you are becoming an integral part of this
national movement. You will be linked into national advertising campaign
and will be recognized for your commitment to keeping our public lands
free.
ACTION has grown to be one of the largest off-road
rights associations in the country. Land use rights is a
nationwide issue,
and ACTION has developed the
expertise and political savvy that
is needed in every state.
- National Aid Programs -
ACTION seeks out like-minded organizations and programs
from around the country, giving them financial and political
support. "Even though we are based in California, any access
issue where we can assist we will make every effort to do so,"
Ed Waldheim, ACTION President, said.
ACTION also works closely with other national
associations, including the Americans for Responsible
Recreaction Access (ARRA) out of Washington, D.C., and the
American Motorcyclists Association out of Ohio.
ACTION is dedicated to land access freedom, wherever that
freedom is threatened, taking the association to Sacramento,
Washington, D.C., and cities nationwide that need assistance.
By
joining the Action Program you are becoming an integral part of
this national movement. You will be linked into the national
advertising campaign and will be recognized for your commitment
to keeping our public lands free.

Protection for our Public Lands
begins with you!
The headlines speak for themselves. Whether blocking the construction of
a new hospital, or eliminating millions of acres of land from public
use, the anti-land-use lobby is working hard every day. This should be a
major concern for anyone whose business relies on the Great Outdoors. As
the availability of land diminishes, so does the demand for off-road
vehicles and recreation. This directly affects campers, RVers, bikers,
ATV enthusiasts, boaters, sportsmen and anyone else who enjoys nature.
There is no doubt
that our industry is the real endangered species. Unless we promote sane
land-use public policy, we will see our land literally taken away from
us. We cannot wait for someone else to act. That someone is us.
We have been
waging this fight for years, and the action program is a fierce new
weapon. Your participation will benefit the industry you serve and will
come back to you in the form of land-use friendly legislation and court
decisions. This is good for your customers and good for you. |
